Note:

• Because of long cut-sequences, instructions may not make sense until you perform them.
• You may need to do exploring to find rooms - although some directions are given.
• Some parts can be done in a different order - it won't matter. Because of this, if you have already gone part of the way through the game, just ignore bits you have already done.
• You can't do anything in the game that will prevent you from winning - so don't be afraid to experiment.
• I assume that you know how to use all the controls in the game.

Bernard

Go to clock in hall
Open clock
Find super-battery plans on wall next to hamster generator in lab
Perform copy protection if you have the disk version of DOTT.

Hoagie

Take plans to Red Edison (inside clock in hall)
Go upstairs to hall
Go upstairs to landing
Walk along corridor to stairs (go up them)
Pick up red paint in attic
Go downstairs to hall, and outside to kumquat tree (near Chron-o-John)
Paint kumquat tree with red paint (Use)
Inside, go through the double doors in the hall
Go to the far window
Talk to George Washington - persuade him to cut down the 'cherry tree' outside
Keep him going 'til your reach 'I bet you've lost it...'. Use this
phrase

Laverne

Talk to guard to persuade him to take you to the doctor
Wait 'til the doctor has left the room
Pick up the tentacle chart
Try to walk outside
Persuade the guard that you need the toilet
Give the tentacle plans to Hoagie

Hoagie

Walk upstairs to the room with the sewing woman
Use tentacle chart with patterns

Bernard

Go to hall and through double doors
Go up chimney
Pick up flag crank
Give flag crank to Laverne

Laverne

Walk to building
Talk to guard - persuade him that you need the doctor
Walk out of doctor's room
Go through door in hall into room with fireplace
Go up chimney
Use crank with crank box
Push crank
Pick up flag
Use flag

Bernard

Go down the chimney
Go upstairs to Green Tentacle's room
Push on/off button on stereo
Push the speaker (the one in the middle of the room)
Get the video on the stereo
Push on/off button on stereo
Go downstairs
Pick up fake barf
Give fake barf to Laverne

Laverne

Go down the chimney
Talk to tentacle guard next to fireplace. Get a label from him
Go upstairs to 60's room with mummy
Get extension cord
Pick up the rollerskates from the sideboard
Place the rollerskates on the mummy
Push the mummy
Go downstairs
Use tag on mummy
Give scalpel to Bernard
Go upstairs

Hoagie

Walk to kitchen (through double doors in hall, then swinging door)
Pick up spaghetti and oil on shelves
Give spaghetti to Laverne

Bernard

Walk to kitchen (through double doors from hall, then swinging door)
Pick up fork
Give fork to Laverne
Go through swinging door
Pop clown with scalpel
Pick up laughing-box
Give laughing-box to Laverne
Give textbook to Hoagie

Go upstairs to competition area (down corridor)
Place laughing box on mummy
Place spaghetti on head of mummy and arrange with fork

Read textbook to horse (upstairs in corridor)
Pick up horse's teeth

Use horse's teeth on mummy
Use fake barf with contestant sitting next to dummy (Harold)
With Laverne, talk to judges in judging area, ask them to judge the
three competitions in turn
Go downstairs to kennel and give dinner certificate to human guard

Take Booboo-b-gone
Give Booboo-b-gone to Laverne

Paint fence near cat white with Booboo-be-gone

In sleeping man's room, place both dimes in the coin slot in room
Pick up sweater
Use sweater in washing machine downstairs (through double doors and kitchen)
Use heap of coins with washing machine
Place hamster in ice box upstairs on landing
Close ice box

Look in ice box
Pick up hamster from ice box and pick up sweater from washing machine
Put hamster in microwave (in kitchen)
Put sweater on hamster
Use hamster with hamster generator inside clock (secret lab)

Pick up letter from post-box outside
Give letter to Bernard

Give letter to depressed man upstairs
Pick up flag gun and disappearing ink
Downstairs, use flag gun with novelty salesman's gun
Open grating
Talk to cigar salesman to get cigar
Pick up teeth
Chase teeth to grating (if they get a stuck in a corner, wait for them to move
a bit)
Pick teeth up
Give teeth to Hoagie
Give cigar lighter to Hoagie
Give cigar to Hoagie

Give cigar to George Washington (through double doors, by window)
Give chattering teeth to George Washington
Pick up blanket from floor
Put blanket over chimney (go upstairs and through attic window)
Upstairs, go to room with kite plans and pick up bottle of wine
Go back into room where you started the fire and pick up gold pen
Walk to door
Go back into room
Give bottle to Thomas Jefferson
Give can opener to Laverne

Go upstairs to old room
Open can with opener
Take out vinegar
Give vinegar to Hoagie

Give oil, gold and vinegar to Red Edison (in clock secret lab)
Pick up battery

Fill bucket from pump in kitchen
Go upstairs to George Washington's room

On roof, use rope with pulley (not crank, pulley is by window)
Outside, tie rope to mummy statue outside door
Go onto roof via chimney, pull rope
Go into attic via chimney
Paint mummy red with red paint
Use Dr Fred with mummy
Tie rope to Dr Fred
On roof pull rope
Take funnel from laundry cabinet (in washing-machine room)
Use funnel with Dr Fred
Use normal coffee with funnel
Talk to Dr Fred, ask him to sign contract
Talk to Dr Fred, say that you can save the world on your own
Talk to Dr Fred, say that you need a doctors note
Give signed contract to Hoagie
Give stamp to Hoagie

Go to T.V. in sleeping man's room and use
Go to Dr Fred's office and pick up bank book on desk
Use phone in Dr Fred's office to buy a diamond
Pick up the flyer about the vacuum cleaners in the hall
Five the flyer to Hoagie

Put the flyer in the suggestion box (in room through double doors)

Laverne

Goto secret lab inside clock
Use vacuum cleaner with mouse hole
Open hatch in vacuum cleaner
Pick up dust ball
Use hamster with hamster generator

All

Walk into corridor
Open second door along corridor (Dwayne's room)
Quickly walk into this room
Quickly walk into mouse hole
Wait to become big
Pick up bowling ball (model of world)
Open door and go out
Walk down the stairs and into the secret lab
Use the bowling ball with the Purple Tentacles
Persuade the Purple Tentacle to hit Doctor Fred with the ray gun
